What is cloud computing?

Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services – including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics and intelligence – over the Internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources and economies of scale. Typically, a business only pays for cloud services they use, helping lower their operating costs, run their infrastructure more efficiently and scale as their business needs change. 3 reasons you should learn cloud computing

1. There is an increasing demand for Cloud Computing professionals
With everything going digital, organisations are desperate for IT professionals who have training in cloud computing. The worldwide public cloud services market is projected to grow rapidly as more software (e.g. apps) and services are expected to make the move online or into the cloud in other words.

2. High Earning Potential
If you are looking for a career with high earning potential, cloud computing is where it’s at. With the whole world becoming more digital each year, finding people who understand the tech landscape are highly sought after.

3. Improved job prospects in all industries
No matter which industry you work in, a background in cloud computing opens so many doors.

Holding a certification in cloud computing shows that you are skilled to help any organisation or company reduce risks and costs to implement projects on different cloud platforms. Which organisation in the world would not want that? Source: Torrens

How is each course taught?

All courses are online and self-paced, meaning you do it in your own home, in your own time, at your own pace and best of all… any where in the world, providing you have access to a laptop, PC or desktop computer, and an internet connection. Each lesson is pre-recorded allowing you to pause, fast-forward, skip sections, or go back to another lesson if you need to. The lessons are multi-media based, which means video and audio are used to teach the lessons. Your tutor will use PowerPoint slides, illustrations, diagrams and give demonstrations to teach each class.  Most lessons are also interactive, prompting the learner to participate. This might involve answering on-screen questions.

How long will it take me to complete each course?

As mentioned above, our courses are self-paced.  Some people finish their course faster than others.  Each certification course is between 12-30 hours. If you choose to only do one of the certification courses from this bundle, then it will take you less time than if you do two or three or all of them.  No matter what though, you’ll always have 12 months to complete your course.

Please note that if you opt to pay for this course through installments, you will not be able to book your exam/s until your full balance is paid.

What do I need?

All you need is an internet connection and a device, such as a smart phone, tablet, laptop or PC, and an internet connection. To get the most out of the course, we recommend you access it using either a laptop or desktop computer through Google Chrome.

Upon completion of this course, you’ll receive three CompTIA one Amazon AWS Cloud ‘Acclaim’ badges that you can add to your CV or social media profile for prospective employers to see. You’ll also receive three official CompTIA certifications, and one official Amazon AWS cloud certification. Click the image above to learn more about Acclaim badges and how they can impact your career in a positive way.

How does this course bundle work?

This course bundle is made up of three main resources as shown below. Each certification course has as its own set of resources, i.e. 1 x video based course, 1 x MeasureUP practice exam, 1 x official CompTIA or Amazon exam (excluding CompTIA Tech+). Each resource is designed to work in conjunction with each other to ensure the successful path to certification. You will complete one course and exam, then repeat the process for the remaining courses. Read below to learn more about the resources that make up the course.

  Video Content

Access to video based online learning material. Tutors use diagrams and illustrations to teach the classes, as well as giving demonstrations. Lessons are pre-recorded allowing you to fast-forward, rewind and pause at any time throughout the lessons. Videos can be viewed on different devices including a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, and smart phone.

 MeasureUP Practice Tests
After working your way through each course, you should be ready to start revising for your official exams. To do this, we provide you with MeasureUP practice tests. These are one of the closest experiences to the actual exam you’ll be taking.

 Official CompTIA & Amazon Exams
Having confidently passed the practice tests, you will be ready to sit the official exams – which we will book on your behalf. You must complete each course before taking an exam. Once you have passed the necessary exams for each course, you will receive the certification for that course.
